Huge congratulations to the Princess Royal University Hospital, who are only the second in-patient diabetes service in the UK to achieve level 1 accreditation with the Diabetes Care Accreditation Programme (DCAP). 

"The DCAP accreditation programme has been extremely helpful in alerting the PRUH diabetes team to our strengths but also areas requiring improvement, in order to achieve our aim of providing gold-standard care to diabetes inpatients. The process is user-friendly and has been well supported by the DCAP team who provided constructive feedback and advice on our service. DCAP accreditation has given our team a platform of motivation to continue to strive towards excellence and quality improvement. Level 2, here we come!"

While achieving level 1 accreditation, the PRUH team were congratulated on having an e-prescribable hypo bundle and hypo simulation training.
